It all began in 1983 with a bold idea and the courage to take risks. We would like to take you on a journey through our company's history from infosoft GmbH to infoteam Software AG and present the most important milestones.
At September 1st 2016, the supervisory board of infoteam Software AG appointed Christian Zahn (54) as CSO to the management board. Next to worldwide distribution, he takes over the position of CEO from Karl-Heinz John in January 2017, who left the company approaching retirement at the end of the year 2016.
Joachim Strobel is appointed by the supervisory board to the Management Board of infoteam Software AG as CFO as of June 1st, 2015. Since November 2014 Strobel is responsible for the finance and human resources sector of the infoteam Software AG and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the infoteam branch in Switzerland.
Strategic expansion targets the machine building business segment. The company is positioning itself as a reliable software partner with a track record in developing vendor-neutral and cross-platform applications for the fields of mechanical and plant engineering.
In July 2013 infoteam Software AG celebrates its 30th anniversary with its business partners, employees and their families as well as selected guests from the worlds of economics and politics. Joachim Herrmann, the Bavarian Minister of the Interior, was the guest of honour.
infoteam is presented with the "Bayerns Best50" award for the company's dynamic growth and the above-average increase rates in our turnover and staff rates in the last five years.
infoteam employs 183 members of staff around the world.
The supervisory board appoints Gert Weymayr as an additional member of the board of directors with effect from 1st July 2012. Gert Weymayr takes over the position of CFO and heads the Corporate Affairs business unit. He is responsible for the finance, HR and administration business units as well as for strategic marketing and public relations.
The infoteam founders Petra and Dr. Wolfgang Brendel step down from their operational roles.
In April 2012, infoteam Software AG opens a new subsidiary in Dortmund. The technology centre at Emil-Figge-Straße 80 is chosen for the new site. This move not only brings the company closer to important customers, but also to universities, higher education institutions and academic institutes.
infoteam Software AG is awarded DIN EN ISO 13485:2010 certification in the field of medical software engineering. The mdc seal of quality confirms that the company has introduced and is successfully operating a quality management system tailored for the development of medical software.
infoteam is the only software company to receive Siemens Healthcare MR's "Supplier of the year" award for a second time.
infoteam Software GmbH becomes infoteam Software AG in Bubenreuth.

In 2010, infoteam’s Beijing branch is expanded into an engineering office and converted to a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE), infoteam Software (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary.
The installed QM system at infoteam is adapted to comply with the valid DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 standard and put into professional use. The testing body, TAW Cert, confirms that the standard is actively integrated into our operations and significantly influenced and promoted by the employees and committed management.
In acknowledgement of the excellent cooperation and the supplier's outstanding performance in the respective years, infoteam Software receives the award from Siemens Healthcare MR in 2007 – the only software company to do so.
The assessment criteria for the award are quality, reliability and delivery dependability as well as the importance as a supplier.
Founding of infoteam Software AG, Stäfa, Switzerland
With the aim of serving the rapidly increasing customer base in the field of life science in Switzerland even better, infoteam founds a subsidiary in Stäfa on the banks of Lake Zurich in 2006.
